The Legion of Educated Gentlemen Advancing and Challenging Youth, Incorporated (LEGACY, Inc.) recognizes the importance of protecting information we may collect from visitors to our website, (the “Site”). Our policy is to use the information we acquire from visitors to our Site for internal purposes only, and we maintain appropriate security measures designed to keep this information private. By visiting the Site, you agree to the practices detailed in this Privacy Statement. If you don’t agree to the Privacy Statement, you may not use our Site. We reserve the right to change this Privacy Statement at any time without notice to you; we may choose to announce changes on our Site, and if so, updates to the Privacy Statement will be available on our Site, so we recommend that you return to the Site periodically in order to confirm the contents of the current Privacy Statement.

Personal Information Users can visit our Site without revealing any information about themselves. If you choose to give us personal information via the Internet for the purposes of correspondence, processing a donation or providing a subscription to a publication, then it is our intent to let you know how we will use such information at the time the information is collected from you.

Technical information, such as the date, time and length of your visit, browser type and IP address, may be used for analysis of traffic patterns (site management), but we do not intend at this time to use the information for targeted advertising, solicitations or the like. For more information about this, see the next Section (Use of Cookies).

Use of Cookies Certain sections of the Site use "cookies" to store user information. A cookie is a small string of text that a web site can send to your browser. Currently, web sites use cookies to enhance the user's visit; in general, cookies can securely store a user's ID and password, personalize home pages, identify which parts of the Site have been visited, or keep track of selections in a "shopping cart." Cookies help us understand which parts of our Site are the most popular, where our visitors are going, and how long they spend there. We use cookies to study traffic patterns on our Site so we can make the site even better. No personally identifiable information about you is collected during this process. We do keep track of the domains from which people visit us. We analyze this data for trends, insights and statistics, and then we discard it. Information may be maintained on an opt-in basis only for receipt of communication and products from LEGACY, Inc. Only users of 13 years or older can opt-in.

Cookies were originally designed to help a web site distinguish a user's browser as a previous visitor and thus save and remember any preferences that may have been set while the user was browsing the site. If you are just browsing the LEGACY, Inc., web site, a cookie identifies only your browser. If you become a registered user on the Site (with a user ID and password), we may use cookies so that we can provide personalized information that we believe will be of value to you based on preferences you have indicated while visiting the Site . If you are concerned about the use of cookies, LEGACY, Inc., suggests that you explore your browser’s options to notify you whenever a cookie is set, or to disallow cookies altogether. You should be aware, however, that prohibiting the use of cookies may restrict your access to certain content or features on the Site. If you are just browsing our Site and are not a registered user, you do not have to accept a cookie and you can still continue browsing the site. However, if you are visiting a site where you will be accessing a confidential account, for example, you must accept that site's cookies because they are essential for site administration and security.

Sharing Information No information collected by us on the Site is shared with third parties by selling, giving, trading or any other method. Users of this site will not receive unsolicited contact from third parties.

LEGACY, Inc., only shares your personal information internally within LEGACY, Inc., and with other LEGACY, Inc.-affiliated organizations. For example, your personal information is shared with our Accounting department for the purpose of processing pledges, and/or our Marketing department for communications.
